Holmaie at Bogesund, a castle from the 14th century.
Bogesund Castle began to be built in the 1640s by Count Per Brahe dy, who inherited the area in 1630. The original building was a four-story cube with a broken gable roof and a roof terrace. To the side were outbuildings and two gazebos in the garden.
Between 1864 and 1867, the castle was rebuilt in medieval romantic style. Architects Thor Medelplan and Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander added towers and two floors to the gables. The park was transformed into an English romantic garden. After the state took over the castle in 1946, it has been renovated several times, most recently in the 2010s, and reopened in 2012.
